Project Coordinated by Customer ServiceAsphalt Roof Replacement with Solar Panel Removal & Re-Install
This Mt. Laurel, NJ asphalt roof replacement upgraded an aging roofing system while carefully removing and reinstalling existing solar panels. The project improved weather protection restored proper drainage near the front downspout and extended the roof’s lifespan using durable architectural shingles designed for New Jersey’s seasonal conditions.
Project Overview
The homeowner in Mt. Laurel, NJ needed a full asphalt roofing replacement due to aging shingles and localized issues beneath the front downspout. The home also featured rooftop solar panels, requiring coordinated removal and scheduled reinstallation to protect the system and roof structure.
Our team removed the top layer of shingles, completed ice and water shielding up to the flashing, and addressed problem areas near the gutter and downspout connection. Architectural shingles were installed across the roof to ensure long term durability. Solar panels were safely staged for reinstallation, scheduled to begin on 1/7/2026, and the upper downspout was reattached to the gutter below to restore proper drainage.
Results
The new asphalt roofing system delivers improved protection against wind driven rain, snow, and temperature swings common in Mt. Laurel. Proper flashing and underlayment installation reduced the risk of future leaks, especially around drainage points. The architectural shingles enhanced curb appeal and provided long term performance compatibility with the existing solar array. Once reinstalled, the solar panels will sit on a structurally sound, watertight roof designed to support them for years to come.
